Worker's death under investigation at Moncure plywood plant

MONCURE, N.C. (WTVD) -- Police are investigating the death of a worker at the Boise Cascade Company's plywood manufacturing facility in the 300 block of Corinth Road in Moncure Friday afternoon.

The Chatham County Sheriff's Office said 29-year-old William Jeffrey Belk, of Sanford, was killed when a piece of machinery fell on him around 3:45 p.m.

The incident will be investigated by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.

Belk is survived by a wife and three children.
