World's largest Christmas stocking unveiled in Fayetteville

FAYETTEVILLE (WTVD) -- A Christmas stocking fit for a giant. In Fayetteville, the world's largest stocking was unveiled on Saturday.

It's 7,700 square feet and weighs in at 1,600 pounds. The public got to see it for the first time during the Christmas at the Park event at Arnette Park.

Last week judges from the Guinness Book of World Records were in town to verify that it was indeed the world's largest knit/crochet stocking.

It took 13 months to put it all together.

To top it all off, it was made to help benefit the children of fallen service members.
