Data breach impacts Noodles & Company customers in NC

RALEIGH (WTVD) -- If you eat at one of the dozens of Noodles & Company restaurants around the Triangle, your debit or credit card information could be at risk.

Hackers compromised the information at more than 400 restaurants across the country, eight of which are located in the Triangle.

Noodles & Company says the breach is contained and customers can use their debit and credit cards safely again at all locations.

The company's credit card processor notified it of unusual activity, and that's when they found malware allowed hackers to compromise some customers' data between Jan. 31, 2016 and June 2, 2016.
