RALEIGH (WTVD) -- North Carolina State University fans will see tighter security at the final two home games of the 2015 football season at Carter Finley Stadium.

Following recent events, officials announced that enhanced security measures will be in place this Saturday and next Saturday.

Fans headed to the Nov. 21st and Nov. 28th games are being encouraged to arrive early due to the heighten screenings at the gate.

NC State is asking fans to leave their bags at home or in their vehicle.

The university said while the Department of Homeland Security advises that there are currently no known threats against collegiate stadiums, the school is taking additional precautions at Carter-Finley Stadium for the safety of all fans, staff and student-athletes.

There will be increased security and law enforcement presence inside and outside the stadium, in the parking lots and in areas surrounding the stadium complex. A number of additional security measures are being enacted, but not publicized.
