RALEIGH (WTVD) -- The Peace Street railroad bridge in Raleigh snagged another victim Friday morning.

Authorities say just before 7 a.m., a tractor-trailer got wedged under the train trestle at Peace and West streets, causing the roof of the 18-wheeler to get smashed back.

The incident blocked the roadway as crews worked to free the vehicle.

The driver of the truck told ABC11 he did not see the height warning signs before going under the bridge.

A bridge inspector said the structure was not damaged. The bridge has been involved in several similar incidents for years.
