Pedestrian has life-threatening injuries after being hit crossing New Bern Avenue

RALEIGH (WTVD) -- A pedestrian was hit while crossing the road in front of WakeMed Raleigh Campus just before midnight.

Raleigh Police Department said the man was hit on New Bern Avenue around 11:30 Wednesday

He was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The driver stayed on scene and is cooperating with police.
