Pedestrian struck by car in Durham

DURHAM (WTVD) -- A man was run over by a car as he was walking down the street in Durham Tuesday evening.

It happened on Broad Street between North Pointe Drive and Murray Avenue.

Witnesses said the force of the crash knocked the victim out of his boots.

He was taken to the hospital with what police described as non-life threatening injuries.

There's no word on whether charges will be filed.
