Dog that wants 'to go to a loving home' found tied to pole with note in Clayton
One furry-friend is in need of a little extra loving.

CLAYTON, N.C. (WTVD) -- One furry-friend is in need of a little extra loving.

Sasha was found tied to a pole in Clayton along with a heartbreaking note:

"Hello, my name is Sasha. I love short walks on nice windy days and chew toys! I love head pets and tummy rubs. These make my leg do this shakey thing, that's how I know its good. My favorite food is Kibbles-N-Bits mixed with wet food and steaks! I absolutely love steaks! I'm eight years old and want to go to a loving home where I can get lots of attention and the care I need. I love other animals and children. I was a good dog, that's what my parents told me. I chewed up my back because of anxieties. But elsewise there isn't anything wrong with me. I am up to date on my shots. Did I mention I love steaks?!?"

Animal Control said it's obvious that whoever abandoned him, couldn't give him the care he deserved. Sasha is blind in one eye and suffers from a skin condition and has severe anxiety.

Sasha is being held for 72 hours at the animal shelter.

So far, a local rescue has stepped up to foster him after that holding period expires.

From there, Sasha will be available for adoption.
