SAN FRANCISCO -- The TSA said it's going to put more "floppy-eared" dogs at checkpoints in airports in 2019.
The agency said this is an effort to put passengers at ease.
Officials explained the decision, stating that passengers are more accepting of dogs with floppy ears, as opposed to pointy ears.
Research also suggests the dogs are less frightening to children.
