Police chase ends in Apex

APEX, NC (WTVD) -- A chase that began in Holly Springs ended off Hwy 55 in Apex Wednesday afternoon.

Police said the incident began when two men allegedly took merchandise from a business on Grand Hill Place.

When officers arrived, the duo tried to make a getaway.

During the chase, a police cruiser trying to cross the highway median got stuck.

One suspect jumped from the getaway car and ran off on foot but was arrested a short time later.

The driver kept going and was stopped off Hwy 55 in Apex.
