Smelly armpit study in Raleigh
The Museum of Natural Sciences conducted a "Smelly Armpit" study

RALEIGH (WTVD) -- The NC Museum of Natural Sciences in Raleigh let visitors take part in its interactive 'Armpit Microbes and Odor' study on Sunday.

Scientists collected underarm skin swabs from people who went three days without any deodorant.

Scientists are using those samples to analyze the DNA sequence of the microbes living in armpits.

They looked at how people smell differently from one another.

There was even a speed-smelling portion, where folks could rate t-shirts on "attractiveness," "pleasantness," and "type of odor."
