Authorities investigate a hit-and-run in Raleigh

RALEIGH, North Carolina (WTVD) -- Authorities in Raleigh are investigating after a man was seriously injured in a hit-and-run Saturday morning.

It happened on Tryon Road at the intersection near Lake Wheeler.

Authorities said that a witness called them at about 8:41 a.m. after seeing a man lying in a ditch.

The 58-year-old-man was taken to WakeMed with life-threatening injuries.

No arrests have been made, authorities are still investigating.
