RALEIGH (WTVD) -- A man crossing a downtown Raleigh street was hit by a bus Friday morning.
It happened around 11 a.m. at the intersection of McDowell and Morgan streets.
A witness told ABC11 that the man was in the crosswalk with the walk light on, when the bus turned into him.
"This other guy was walking he had the right-of-way and the bus made the right turn and hit him and the guy when down - I mean the bus hit him pretty hard and he went down," Roy Balance said.
However, Raleigh police said it appeared the victim was at fault, and that he walked into the bus.
The unidentified man was taken to WakeMed with an injury to his foot.
