Man shot in chin, abdomen in Raleigh

RALEIGH, North Carolina (WTVD) -- Authorities in Raleigh are investigating a shooting that left a man injured early Monday morning.

It happened around 1 a.m. on East Cabarrus Street near Alston Street.

Police say the man was found lying in the road after being shot in the chin and abdomen.

He was taken to the hospital and is recovering, according to officials.

Investigators do not have any information yet on a suspect.
