Raleigh woman treated for burns after townhouse fire
The Raleigh Fire Department is investigating the cause of a fire that broke out in a two-story townhouse, injuring one woman.

RALEIGH (WTVD) -- The Raleigh Fire Department is investigating the cause of a fire that broke out in a two-story townhouse, injuring one woman.

Just after 7:30 p.m., fire crews were called to the 2600 block of Dwight Place.

Officials said the fire started in the kitchen and spread rapidly through the interior of the first floor.

Four people were in the home during the fire; one woman suffered burns on her hands.

Crews said she was treated on scene by EMS; the Red Cross was called in for additional assistance.

The fire was quickly put out and did not damage surrounding home.

Authorities have not released the cause of the fire.
