NCSU reports sex assault at off-campus party
The incident allegedly happened on Chamberlain Street

RALEIGH (WTVD) -- A student reported she was sexually assaulted at an off-campus party early Sunday morning, according to NC State University police.

Authorities said in a Wolf Alert sent to students, faculty, and staff that it happened around 12:30 a.m. at a fraternity house in the 100 block of Chamberlain Street.

Neighbors said there was a large Halloween party at the Delta Delta Upsilon International Fraternity. A student who lives two doors down from the house said the party spilled into the neighborhood.

The suspect is described as a light complexioned black male who was wearing a sleeveless shirt. It's not clear if the suspect is a fraternity member, a student, or just someone at the party.

Neighbors across the street told ABC11 that it is "uncomfortable" and "unsettling" that the alleged incident happened so close to where they live.

"It's not a thing that should be happening. I at least hope the people at this fraternity are investigating and trying to determine what's happening," said one neighbor.

ABC11 reached out to the fraternity but they have no comment.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the NC State University Police Department at (919) 515-3000.
