Fort Bragg soldier charged in July rape investigation

FAYETTEVILLE (WTVD) -- A U.S. Army soldier has been arrested and charged in connection with a July 30 rape investigation involving a teenager.

Christian Chalk, 20, of the 1800 block of Camelot Drive was arrested Monday at Fort Bragg, where he is assigned, Fayetteville Police said Tuesday.

Chalk was charged with second-degree forcible rape and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Chalk is being held at the Cumberland County Detention Center on a $100,000 secured bond.
