DURHAM (WTVD) -- The Durham Police Department is investigating after a person was hurt in a robbery outside a Bojangles restaurant in the 2800 block of Guess Road in north Durham.
Video from the scene showed a man with a heavily bandaged head being loaded into an ambulance.
The incident was first reported as a shooting, but police later said nobody was shot.
Investigators said the victim was robbed in the parking lot at gunpoint and then hit in the head with a blunt object. His injuries did not appear to be life-threatening.
