Man dead after shooting in Edgecombe County

PRINCEVILLE, N.C. (WTVD) -- The Edgecombe County Sheriff's Office is investigating a deadly shooting in Princeville.

Police identified the victim as 29-year-old Tavon Dionte Clark of Rocky Mount.

It happened around 2:50 p.m. Tuesday.

Police said they found Clark behind the Neville Street Apartments.

Authorities said that there is no information yet on a suspect but that it does not appear to be a random act.
