Man shot in southeast Raleigh dies

RALEIGH (WTVD) -- The Raleigh Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting on Paint Rock Lane in southeast Raleigh.

It happened around 8:30 p.m. near the intersection with Pine Barren Lane.

Investigators said 24-year-old Marcus Trevon Howard was taken to the hospital where he later died from his injuries.

The investigation of the case remains underway.

An ABC11 crew on the scene reported an area was roped off with crime tape and investigators were looking for clues.
