Stores sell surplus at Boutique Blowout
Boutique Blowout offers deep discounts to make way for Fall merchandise

RALEIGH (WTVD) -- Dozens of Triangle clothing boutiques will take part in a Boutique Blowout on Friday, July 17 from 5pm-9pm at Market Hall in City Market located in downtown Raleigh.

Shoppers can purchase a $5 VIP ticket to shop an hour early at 4 p.m., otherwise, the event is free to the public beginning at 5 p.m.

Donna Hankin, who is the owner of the boutique, Peachy Keen, in Cary says this is the third year for this event which is a way for the stores to deeply discount Spring and Summer surplus to make room for Fall merchandise.

"It's a great time to pick up some items you wouldn't normally shop for yourself," Hankin said."The discounts are going to be very deep. So, you are going to find, in our case, the designer elements that might have sold regular price for $350.00 dollars that could be as low as $25. It's also a great chance to pick up some gifts-I know it's early for the holidays, but, they come before you know it so there will be some great gift ideas as well," she said.
