ABC11 Together donates to Urban Ministries of Durham
ABC11 Together highlights the strength of the human spirit, good deeds, community needs, and how our viewers can help
DURHAM (WTVD) -- The ABC11 Together Drive for Urban Ministries Durham helped out those in need this holiday season.
Everything from backpacks to gift cards were donated to the men, women and children at Urban Ministries in downtown Durham.
Members of the ABC11 team walked the items over on Monday afternoon.
Urban Ministries has programs that end homelessness by giving neighbors emergency shelter and case management to help them overcome barriers such as unemployment, medical and mental health problems, and addiction.
They welcome more than 6,000 people each year who come seeking food, shelter, clothing and supportive services.
