DURHAM (WTVD) -- A ribbon cutting was held Thursday for the newly-renovated Caring House.

The project was possible thanks to a $150,000 pledge by Duke University Health System.

The guest apartment is specially designed for adult bone marrow transplant patients.

The Caring House provides patients at Duke Cancer Institute affordable housing and a healing environment and a little more peace of mind.
