Their good deeds were all part of the effort to help Abby Norris, an 8-year-old girl with brittle bone disease who is in need of a surgery to replace the rods in her legs.

Abby's mother, Nancy Norris, explained that Abby has stage three Osteogenisis Imperfecta, and it's severe.

Abby's bones are fragile like glass, but it doesn't stop her from doing what she loves.

The little girl has a passion for the stage and participates in pageants all over North Carolina and other states.

Her mom tells us that even though Abby's bones are brittle, her personality is mighty strong.

"She can break with a simple cough or sneeze and she's had about 100 fractures," Nancy Norris said. "Abby's type is going to be a challenge for her whole life. She's going to be small, but she has big personality and I think she will go far in life with that."
