NC Central sees the sights in Atlanta, prepares for big game against Grambling State.

ATLANTA, Georgia (WTVD) -- They toured the Georgia Aquarium, spent time in the College Football Hall of Fame and the Center for Human and Civil Rights. Now, the North Carolina Central football team is getting ready for the business portion of its bowl trip.

On Saturday at noon, we'll see a MEAC vs SWAC showdown in the Celebration Bowl game where NC Central and Grambling State will face each other for the first time in 30 years, and emotions are high.

The Eagles held their final walkthrough Friday afternoon to perfect every detail when it comes to taking down the Tigers.

"We've been the underdog or if we were picked to win it wasn't by much, so we're used to just playing in the underdog role," said Eagles quarterback Malcolm Bell, "and you know, we just have that chip on our shoulder every game in that they don't believe in North Carolina Central football."

Offensive lineman Carl Jones said the trip has been fun, but it's time to get down to business.

"Last two days there's been a lot of activities, fun things, programs, but now it's all kind of winding down and people getting focused, people getting quiet and getting into regular game day mood," Jones said. "We got a task at hand Saturday, so we got to handle that one."

Coach Jerry Mack said his players "understand what's at hand."

"You know you watch, year in and year out, you watch the Alabamas of the world, you watch the Clemsons of the world playing in national television," Mack said. "All the pageantry that leads up to the game? Well here it is."

Kickoff is Saturday at noon. You can catch the game on ABC11.
