Students protest National Anthem at UNC football game

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (WTVD) -- A group of students demonstrated before the start of the Pittsburgh-UNC game and during the National Anthem in Chapel Hill on Saturday.

The students, dressed primarily in black, chanted, "All lives matter when Black lives matter."

During the National Anthem, they held a raised fist throughout the performance. At least two members of the UNC marching band knelt and did not play their instruments.

This protest comes days after a fatal officer-involved shooting of a man in Charlotte.

Last week, a smaller group sat during the anthem.
