FAYETTEVILLE (WTVD) -- A Fayetteville high school goalkeeper is facing a two-game suspension after a flagrant contact foul on Thursday.

Pine Forest High School's Cassie Sturtz is seen in this video charging her opponent, Pinecrest High School's Riley Barrett. The video has already racked up more than 45,000 views.

Sturtz is seen tackling Barrett as she approached the goal on a breakaway. The video shows Barrett writhing in pain on the ground, but The Fayetteville Observer reported Barrett was eventually able to leave the field on her own.

According to The Fayetteville Observer, a soccer official supervisor in the Cape Fear region said officials calling the game initially did not give Sturtz a penalty. It was only after the game that officials agreed Sturtz should have been called for a flagrant contact foul.

The Pine Forest Trojans lost to Pinecrest 4-1, their first loss of the season.
