Starbucks offers mobile pay in some North Carolina stores

CARY, N.C. (WTVD) -- Starbucks delivered some good news to its fans here in North Carolina and in 20 other states.

The popular coffee joint is expanding it's mobile ordering to 3,400 additional stores.

Starbucks just wrapped up a second test of the program in four states.

The service allows customers to preorder and pay through Starbuck's Apple app. The app is not yet available for Android, but the company's website said they are working on development.

There are several locations in the Triangle that are now on that list.
