Raleigh police hunting for alleged strong-arm bandits
Investigators say men are targeting businesses along the New Bern Avenue corridor.

RALEIGH (WTVD) -- Detectives with the Raleigh Police Department are asking for help identifying the men behind a series of strong-arm robberies.




Four of the five crimes occurred along the New Bern Avenue corridor, and in each incident a lone suspect entered a business, took cash, and was last seen fleeing on foot.



Detectives say weapons were not shown during the hold-ups, but some employees were assaulted or subjected to physical force during the crimes.



Here's the list of robberies:



-Jan. 28 at 12:48 a.m., a robbery was reported at the Microtel Inn motel at 1209 Plainview Dr.


-Jan. 27 at 8:36 p.m., a robbery was reported at the CVS pharmacy at 4309 New Bern Ave.


-Dec. 21 at 2:55 p.m. a robbery was reported at the Payless Shoes store at 4501 New Bern Ave.


-Dec. 21 at 4:32 p.m., a robbery was reported at the Subway restaurant at 3416 Poole Rd.


-Dec. 19 at 11:11 p.m. a robbery was reported at the Comfort Suites motel at 1309 Corporation Pkwy.
