Some Wake County students get free tablets

RALEIGH (WTVD) -- Every student at Carroll Magnet Middle School in Raleigh got to unpack brand new tablet computers courtesy of Verizon Tuesday.

It's part of an 8-school nationwide program designed to improve learning through technology.

Verizon has donated about a thousand tablets to the school along with internet access so students can use them at home.
