Target tie
Local Target employees helped a teen prep for a job interview, and their story went viral.

RALEIGH (WTVD) -- Our story on Thursday about two Target employees helping a local teen get interview-ready grabbed people's attention across the nation.

On Friday, the story popped up on national programs, including Good Morning America.

The ABC11 Facebook page showed thousands of likes, shares, and comments on the heartwarming story.

"None of us had any intention whatsoever," said Target team member Dennis Roberts. "We were just here to help a young man get a job and forward his future."

The pure act of helping a teenager fix his tie and be ready for a job interview could be the reason this story strikes a chord with so many.

Now, the ABC11 story is running on multiple national news outlets, including CNN with a worldwide audience.

The original picture, captured by Audrey Mark, has over 50,000 likes and over 4,000 shares since she posted it on Facebook.

"It's little quiet moments like this that can have such a long lasting profound effect on somebody," Mark commented.
