DURHAM (WTVD) -- Think MTV's "Real World," but for teachers only.
Six strangers are picked to live in a house, but instead of staying up all night partying, they're coming up with creative ways to teach your kids in the classroom.
And, they've got access to the most innovative educators in the country.
It's the first of its kind in the nation, and it's right here in Durham.
Six teachers, living under one roof, getting the support, resources, and encouragement they need to navigate a career in the classroom. Top educators and leaders from across the state come to dinner and events here to help these teachers network.
Right now there are two experienced, and 4 newly-licensed teachers in the house. They'll stay there for 2 years and then a new crop of teachers will come in. The goal is to make these teachers innovators, risk takers, and leaders in the classroom and in their communities.
