Tractor trailer overturns, spills cargo on Durham road

DURHAM (WTVD) -- A tractor trailer overturned on a Durham road early Thursday morning, causing it to spill its cargo.

It happened around 4:30 a.m. on Renaissance Pkwy at Rolando Drive near Southpoint mall.

The driver told ABC11 crews at the scene that he was trying to avoid a deer and swerved, but ended up flipping onto a grassy median and part of the road.

The impact caused the trailer to split open and scatter boxes everywhere.

No injuries were reported.
