Accident shuts down part of I-40 east in Wake County

WAKE COUNTY, North Carolina (WTVD) -- A vehicle overturned on I-40 east in Wake County Friday afternoon, shutting down all eastbound lanes near the Harrison Avenue exit.

All eastbound lanes were closed while crews cleared the scene but have since reopened.

It is not yet known if anyone was injured. Authorities have not said what caused the wreck.
