Car accident leaves dozens without power, closes road

DURHAM (WTVD) -- A car accident left dozens in the dark and blocked a main road in Durham early Thursday morning.

Authorities said a car ran into a power pole on Fayetteville Road near Tralea Drive.

The crash knocked out power to nearly 40 customers in the area and blocked part of Fayetteville Road.

It is unclear if the driver in the accident was hurt.
