Collision sends 2 to the hospital in Cumberland County

CUMBERLAND COUNTY (WTVD) -- An early evening accident sent two people to the hospital in Cumberland County on Thursday.

North Carolina State Highway Patrol said the collision happened on northbound Highway 301 near Snowhill Church Road.

Troopers said a pickup truck ran into the back of a Lincoln Navigator, forcing the Navigator into the back of a tractor-trailer.

Two people were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The pickup driver will be charged with failure to reduce speed.
