Crash causes major delays on I-40 westbound

DURHAM COUNTY, NC (WTVD) -- An accident on I-40 westbound caused major delays in Durham County Wednesday morning.

It happened on the Page Road exit ramp getting onto I-40 before 7 a.m. Westbound traffic approaching the wreck experienced heavy congestion during the morning commute.

The on-ramp to I-40 west was closed but reopened just after 8 a.m.

Authorities have not said what caused the crash or if anyone was hurt.
