Man riding mower to store struck in Granville County

A man riding a lawn mower to a convenience store was injured when he was hit by a pickup, the Granville County Sheriff's Office said Tuesday.

It happened on Lawrence Road between Bruce Garner Road and the Wake County line.

The victim, who has not yet been identified, was rushed to WakeMed with serious injuries.

No charges have yet been filed.

The investigation is ongoing.
