Raleigh police investigating after pedestrian struck on Capital Boulevard

RALEIGH (WTVD) -- Raleigh police are investigating after a woman was struck while trying to cross a busy road Wednesday night.

It happened at Capital Boulevard near Highwoods Boulevard.

Authorities said they believe the woman was not in a crosswalk when she was struck.

She was taken to WakeMed with serious injuries.

No charges have yet been filed. The incident remains under investigation.
