Program gives free Christmas trees to troops

Free Christmas trees are going to members of the armed forces this holiday season, just as they have since 2005.

The Trees for Troops program is in its 15th year. It connects tree growers, retailers and FedEx so they can help brighten the holidays for service members.

The trees are shipped to service members' homes for free!

Since the program started, it has donated more than 225,000 trees.
