State trooper involved in I-40 wreck

RALEIGH (WTVD) -- A trooper-involved wreck caused major delays on I-40 East between Hammond Road and Rock Quarry Road in Raleigh.

The accident happened just before 2:30 p.m. Saturday. Traffic was reduced to a single-lane, resulting in heavy congestion.

All lanes have since reopened.

It is not yet known how severe the accident was or if anyone was injured.
