3 sent to hospital after blaze at Raleigh motel
Crews responded to a small fire at a Raleigh motel Wednesday night.

RALEIGH (WTVD) -- A person and two police officers were sent to WakeMed after a small fire at a Raleigh motel Wednesday night.



It happened at the Wake Inn in the 3100 block of New Bern Avenue around 9:30 p.m.



Fire officials said the fire was contained to just one second floor room, but some adjoining rooms were evacuated briefly.



There's no word yet on what sparked the fire, but officials said it may have been intentionally set.



One person was treated for a cut to the arm. The two police officers were treated for smoke inhalation and quickly released.
