Fog has developed across much of the southern and central Coastal Plain and the Sandhills this morning with visibilities less than a half mile in some locations. The fog will be thickest across portions of Wayne, Wilson, Johnston and Sampson counties where visibilities may be a quarter mile or less. A cold front will move across the area over the next few hours and visibilities should greatly improve between 2 and 4 am. If driving, slow down, use your low beam headlights, and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.More
