Fisherman Jay Goodwin was hoping to pull in a big catch during a fishing tournament in Chatham, Massachusetts, on Saturday, July 16. Instead he came up close to a massive great white shark.
Just off in the distance Goodwin caught a glimpse of a giant dorsal fin sticking out of the water. Moments later he saw what was clearly a great white swimming towards his boat.
The thrilling moment should serve as a reminder to be extra careful. Great whites have become increasingly common off the coast of Massachusetts due to the presence of seals.
