Weather causes car wrecks
The rain caused several car accidents around the Triangle on Sunday

CARY, N.C. -- Sunday's wet weather caused a lot of crashes across the Triangle.

Authorities blocked off several lanes for a crash on southbound US-1 near Walnut Street in Cary.

Also in Wake County, traffic came to a crawl on Interstate 40 near Jones Sausage Road after several cars wrecked.

One car involved in the I-40 wreck got stuck in the median.

A single car accident happened Sunday night at Horton Road near Stadium Drive in Durham.

Our crew on the scene said a pick-up truck flipped on its side and landed in a nearby driveway.

So far, no serious injuries have been reported.
