DURHAM (WTVD) -- April is National Minority Health and Health Disparities Awareness month, and to help raise that awareness, the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences will hold free medical screenings for women.
There will also be free health information sessions dealing with a number of issues, including, heart health, domestic abuse and the Affordable Care Act.
Women's Health Awareness Day is Saturday, April 2 from 8:30am to 5:30pm. It will be held at the Mary Townes Science Building, 1900- Concord St on the NC Central University campus in Durham.
