Missing girl from Stanly County found safe

STANLY COUNTY, N.C. (WTVD) -- The Stanly County Sheriff's Office said the missing teen, 16-year-old Stephanie Michele Morton has been found safe.

An AMBER Alert was issued Thursday over the disappearance.

Stephanie was last seen leaving South Stanly High School on Thursday morning in a suspect's vehicle.

That man is now in custody.
