Wake County deputies responded to the 5700 block of Arrowood Lane, not far from Lake Wheeler, shortly after 6 p.m.
Investigators said the victim, who has not been identified at this time, was found after a co-worker went to check on his welfare after he did not show to work.
Due to items found at the scene, investigators have ruled the death as 'suspicious' in nature.
