First Citizens Bank robbed in Fayetteville, police say

FAYETTEVILLE (WTVD) -- Police are searching for a man they say robbed a First Citizens Bank in Fayetteville Monday morning.

Officers responded to 3604 Ramsey Street just before 11:15 a.m.

Police said a man entered the business and acted as a customer before he handed the teller a note demanding money. After receiving the undisclosed amount, he fled the scene on foot.

He's described as a black male wearing a black coat, black hat, white gloves, white-framed sunglasses, and burgundy pants.

Police are still investigating.
