It happened in the area of Banks Road near Pine Bank Drive on Saturday and people were asked to avoid the area.
The sheriff's office said shortly before 8:30 p.m. that the situation had been "resolved without incident" and Banks Road had reopened between Chelsea Drive and Shield Circle.
Authorities did not release further details about what happened and who was involved.
